You couldn't have scripted this any better than if you were a classic orator of Greek tragedy. We lose seemingly everyone throughout the season and finally the story ends with the ultimate climax, Brady gets hurt. How hurt? I don't know. But he was limping off the field. And Tom Curran has tweeted that he is limping around the locker room.

So

Brady - Ankle

In 2001 he hurt his ankle and was fine one week later when he won a Super Bowl. (There was only one week off)
in 2007 he hurt his ankle and he wasn't fine two weeks later when he lost a Super Bowl.

Which one do we get?

Clearly favored it walking out of the press conference.

07 was a high ankle sprain.

01 was not and only had a week to rest.

Not sure how to answer... All I saw is 2001 sore leg or *places hands over eyes* lalakalalllalalalla

Certainly not ideal, and I agree with @Rob0729 that I'm a bit pissed about the choice to play him with that particular gameplan, but the dude is a warrior. I'm fully convinced that he could play with a wooden leg, should it come to that.

Let's hope it's not too bad, and the 2 weeks of rest help.

Oh I have no doubt he'll play. It would take a season ending injury to keep him out. But one of the keys to Brady's game the past two seasons was his new found ability to be mobile outside the pocket. His ankle being hurt affects that big time. We are running on razor thin margins here already. An 80% effective Brady is not good enough.

Surprised brady managed to make it to the playoffs alive playing behind this putrid oline.

Add it to the list of questions with this team. No doubt he will play, but will it affect his play? You can say the same about a host of injured players.

I am sure there will be a few pissing contests
regarding the ankle in the forum these next 2 weeks.
Vegas has the line set at 2.5 pissing contests.

I'm really concerned about his ability to practice and be sharp with Edelman (assuming he's out there) and all the others.

I knew Marcus Cannon eventually would allow this to happen
