In Mitchell, Patriots Seem to Have Finally Gotten This One Right

Good write up, but I'll temper my expectations given that (as noted in the article) plenty of other receivers showed flashes of brilliance early on only to be non-factors.

It is pretty crazy how only Branch, Givens, and Edelman are the only players that come to mind that the Pats have been able to develop successfully during the BB/Brady era. Hopefully Mitchell would add his name to the list.

I think Mitchell has great hands, good body control and YAC. I still think he needs to work on getting seperation and reading the defense so he can be where Brady expects him to be.

At this point in 2013, the general consensus was that Dobson and Thompkins were legit. It's still too early to say with Mitchell, although yesterday was a big step in the right direction. I'm more optimistic for him than I've been for a rookie WR in quite a while.

Well I don't know how well Mitchell runs routes yet but he has some serious raw talent. He looks like he is going to be a good wide out.

It really is unfortunate what happened to Dobson. He had a real good rookie season.
