In a game of huge plays, perhaps one of the biggest was...a punt

…the punt by the Patriots at the end of the first half. Down 24-0, punting into that wind with less than 20 seconds left on the clock. No sure thing that Allen gets off a good punt. I think we were all looking at the very real possibility of Denver getting another field goal to end the half (moving with the wind, Prater has a tremendous leg). That would have made it 27-0 and pretty much lights out.

But, not only does he get off a good punt, but Denver fumbles and NE recovers. Great, Denver isn't going to score. But then on the very next play (the last one of the half), Rodgers-Cromartie gets hurt diving for an attempted INT and he ends up missing the entire second half with the injury. And that ended up being huge.

I think that two play sequence of events turned out to be enormous in the game.

No response needed here as you covered the situation very well but, yup you are correct, right before that punt I was worried about our rookie, but he delivered admirably

And then we went for a Hail Mary throw, which didn't return points, but did get DRC an injury we took adage tags of the rest of the game

If we win a SB ring this year out rooks will have a lot to do with it

And so will us being aggressive and taking chances like the hail mary
