Some of us knew we needed a 5th running back, even before the draft. We didn't have Eckel in mind. So in the end, we are forced to carry five running backs anyway. We could have picked up a veteran in free agency or a draftee at 28 or in the 3rd and been better off than depending on Eckel and Evans as running backs. How many of you are comfortable with Evans as the short yardage back, instead of say Crockett.
LOL, Mgteich it's been awhile - you've been handing off the ass backwards duty to danny, have you? But now, with this, you're back, full-force.
How many of us are comfortable with Evans as the short yardage back? That's a fair enough question. But then you go and add, "instead of, say, Crockett." LOL! Zack Crockett? Who we could've picked up at ANYTIME before this past week when Tampa did? Bill Belichick could've done that if he thought it was an upgrade and he didn't. That's good enough for me.
And if you're being honest - and I sense pretty clearly you're not - you would concede that Evans is on this team NOT because of some magical unseen skill at short-yardage running, but for other roles he fills. He's not great at anything, but he's versatile and BB CLEARLY values him.
Next time leave off the Crockett part. CROCKETT? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
