Awful call. There were two te's covering each tackle. Vrabel was in motion. Knuchklehead ref said not enough on line of scrimmage. Thank god didn't cost us anything. We know NFL refs can't see very well. I didn't think they were that bad at counting though.

I don't believe that any ref said there weren't enough men on the line of scrimmage. I think that was only Collingsworth's speculation.
As I posted on another thread, I'm pretty sure the problem on that play was that Vrablel just forgot to report. So, when he covered the tackle, he was doing so with a non-TE number (50-79 must report to cover a tackle). He also was ineligible downfiled, but the formation problem occurred first.
The reasons that I believe he failed to report are detailed elsewhere on this board. Mostly it's from what I thought I saw the refs talking about. Also, the flag came a long time after the play, presumably after they conferenced to see whether he had reported. Also, when he runs off the field, he points to his number.
