Re: If you could ask Santa for a gift pertaining to the Patriots, what would it be?

Assuming one granted request wouldn't negate another, I chose SB 43.

First off, that's a story just WAITING to become a movie. Everything from Tom going down, returning vets, and Matt's recent loss. Thinking of the story so far is chills-worthy. These guys have had a fantastic season against all-odds.

Secondly, it would REALLY piss off a lot of people, but they'd have to be begrudgingly amazed. It would also mean bad things for the Jets (which is never bad) and make us truly fierce next year when we have to put all the injured pieces back to go out and do what they meant to do this year.

The cherry on top would be to beat the Giants in the SB. That's a scary thought, but if this team could make it to Arizona, it would be hard to ignore the possibility.

Alright, back to reality. Let's just try and beat Oakland.

ah, i ask santa to bring your hypothetical situation to reality

other---

My wish is that Tom & Giselle steer one of her supermodel friends my way.

Other than the obvious choice of winning a SB, I'd like to see 6 or so Pats visit the troops when the season is over.

Get to the Divisional Rd of the playoffs. Want a crack at the Steelers or Titans. Given what the team has dealt with this season, that would be all I could ask for. Let the team that make the most plays win at that point.

Health, Wealth and Wisdom

Health > No more injuries!
Wealth > The next ring
Wisdom > Another smart draft!

There's no way this team is good enough to get to the Super Bowl. Just don't see it. Barely beating a 2-10 Seahawks team and getting blown out by the Steelers. So I don't see that as a realistic gift. Instead I voted for Tom Brady's health in 2009. That is going to be the key season and possibly our best chance to get a Superbowl win in the near future. Hope the Pats pull out the stops in free agency as well to get who they need to fill out the championship jigsaw.

Health, health, health.

This year, next year and for the next few years.

A super bowl this year would not only make up for last year, but I think exceed what last year's SB would have been. Screw records, we have enough of em, this would be one of the most inspirational and gutsy title runs in the HISTORY of sports.

I'm not sure what that has to do with this poll. News flash: Santa Claus doesn't exist. This is a fantasy question.

And the answer is obviously, "I'll take the Super Bowl." The second best choice, Brady's health, is likely to happen anyway. And even if Brady is healthy, a chance at a Super Bowl in the 2009 season is far less interesting than a lock for a Super Bowl in the 2008 season.

I voted for good draft picks in 09.
The Pats can win the SB without Santa's help.:bricks:

wait....what???

To win the super bowl this season. Isn't that why they play the games?

I voted for a Super Bowl win. That would be the ultimate "present" for this team.

This doesn't fit with the Christmas spirit, so it's really not an option, but a more mean-spirited "gift" would be for some other team, preferably the Colts or Jets (or maybe the Dolphins or Steelers, just for Joey Porter), to be caught videotaping opposing coaches signals from a non-approved position. This wouldn't directly benefit the Patriots at all, but it would be great to hear all the back-pedaling and rationalizing from the fans and media.

Have to go with the super bowl victory.

LOL, why? it already happened to the jets, and it didnt seem to matter....

I actually went with Brady, since somewhere in the back of my mind I still fear he might never be the same. So I'd gladly trade a Super Bowl this year for a full recovery from Brady and a shot at many more to come.

Well, I'd like a super bowl, healthy Brady, and unemployed Mangidiot, but only one, so the super bowl.
