It seems like I've heard David Tyree's name about 20 times this year. I still haven't been able to watch a replay of SB42 yet, not sure if I ever will. As soon as that game was over, I shut off my TV and played Video Games for about 10 hours (not something I usually do) I couldn't sleep, called out of work the next day and was in a funk for weeks.

A possible rematch, may take some of my Joy out of the next 2 weeks, because it will mean SB42 talk non-stop. What would be the over under on how many times we would have to hear David Tyree's name? Good God!

We won't have a choice, so what can you do (but pray that the Giants do not win today).

To be honest, I think we're going to be subjected to quite a bit of this regardless of the victor of the NFC game today. That was the last Superbowl we played in and some people feel it damaged Brady's reputation. I hate to say it, but I'm expecting to hear about Spygate if we get there too, since we haven't won a Superbowl since that nonsense.

I hope I'm wrong. I've no doubt there will be more talk if the G-men win, but I think we're gonna take it either way.

I want us to win. I want the G-men to win. And I want us to kill them in the Superbowl. I think beating Ravens in route to beating Giants would be sweet.

Nope, not prepared. But it's not up to me.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo! :bricks:

I had no idea how much I loved this team until they lost that game. I live in Manhattan and get the NY Times and Daily News delivered at my doorstep every morning. For an entire week, I simply picked them up without glancing at them, walked to the trash chute and threw them down. I didn't watch local TV news for the same week.

So, I guess the answer is "No," I'm not ready to relive that.

This thread is horrible.

Then don't read it?

I see you didn't join the Forum until the Fall of 2009, but for many of us this Board was our only link to sanity the days and week or two after the game whose name we do not mention; it was better than an expensive shrink to treat our Pats equivalent of PTSD.

If you don't want to listen to us, I fully respect that, but don't dis us; there are plenty of other threads.

I will watch SB 42 on an endless loop, Clockwork Orange style, if the alternative is a Harbaugh Bowl.

Still voted no though. Everything about that game still sickens me to this day.

We have the most important game of the season today. Why talk about the Giants now when we should be focusing on the Ravens?

As long as we win today, I don't care which team we face in 2 weeks.

Cuz "WE" aren't the team, so we are allowed to think about the unthinkable and discuss it if we so choose. If the thread is that terrible, which is fine if you feel that way, why are you back?

P.S. Also just an FYI posting in this thread does not exclude from posting in threads that talk about TODAYS GAME! (Also known as the most important game of the year)

I look forward to the Patriots defeating the Giants in this upcoming Super Bowl. This fanbase and this organization need that cathersis from what happened in 2007. Those demons have never been exorcized and they need to be. I WANT the Gaints in the SB. Brady, BB and Co will never say it but they WANT the Giants also.

Lets not get too carried away with ourselves ey?

IF we beat the ravens today, this thread should be going crazy during the nfc game, but for now my full concern is on the god damn ravens.

I hope we get a chance to worry about this.

If things work out, I don't see the Patriots having to put up with a Congressman grandstanding about an overblown controversy or someone from the Boston media reporting a false rumor as fact on the eve of the game.

My reaction to the last quarter of that game. In fact just the name Tyree still causes this reaction. The only answer is redemption in two weeks.

Do all fans have to be minni Belichick's as well? I think the Ravens/Pats talk has pretty much been covered in every aspect this week on this forum.

It was four years ago. It still sucks, but it doesn't bother me the same way it used to when it's brought up or I see a clip on TV.
