If NE is tainted, so is Denver.

So let's see, Denver has a confirmed rapist as QB on their team and Von Miller recently admitted the sack and fumble on Newton that practically ended the game was "illegal". He may of been a man and admitted it, but cute waiting until now to admit it!

If this was NE, this would be a cover story on the news. Shame on the refs for "missing it" and shame on Denver as a team.

While the Broncos 1990s salary cap punishments and tainted SBs have been well documented and I agree that they have no business talking smack about anything, let's not fall into the same category of other rival fanbases (with lower levels of intelligence) by automatically assuming that everything we read is definitely true.

In other words, Peyton Manning may have some controversy surrounding him (not enough in our minds), but calling him a "confirmed rapist" is not only over the top, but it's simply untrue. Let's not bust out the sour grapes in relation to this year's Broncos team. The Patriots had TWO opportunities to defeat them this season, and failed both times for various reasons. While none of us are going to feel as though "the better team won" that day, let's man up and remember to give credit to a very good DEN defense.

For me--it's on to next season, now. We had some obvious weaknesses and injury concerns last year, so those are what will be addressed by Belichick and company this offseason.

I'm not bitter. Actually, I was happy Denver won because I was simply tired of Cam Newton and him believing in his hype. What bugs me is if this was NE, both Brady and whoever committed the illegal play in SB 50 would be tainted by everyone and it would make the news.

Though, I admit calling him a rapist was pushing it!

I'm with you on the ridiculous double standard.

Seeing the world's reaction last season to some air in a football (for less than 1/2 a game which resulted in a blowout) vs. the reaction this year to much more serious offenses is both troublesome and annoying.

Watching ESPN outtakes today and how they had to suck it up and go with the story, I thought a wonderful thought... what if this results in better ratings for them:

They'd make a circus out of the heartbreak of watching the downfall of a hero. First, sexual assault. Second, HGH. All of a sudden, von miller's substance violation is brought up, questioning the validity of his performance this offseason and the Broncos SB win. The Broncos brand now has a noticeable chink in the armor. Only a matter of time until the salary cap situation is rehashed. They need all these special segments that take up air time when they have no other news. Also, look! Elway and Bowlen each raised kids that beat women.

This is my prediction. Karma will drop in on those whiny, spoiled bastards.

Game of Thrones entertains people by breaking their hearts, why can't ESPN?

On a completely unrelated note, I just can't imagine how empty my life would have to be to spend so much time being slapped down on another team's forum just so I could have some attention.

No real fans of the New England Patriots or rational human beings believe any of the four Super Bowls is tainted. Haters cite "camera-gate" and "defame-gate" as a defense mechanism against their inferiority complex. Jets fans are notorious at resorting to calling Patriots cheaters whenever they are reminded they haven't won anything in almost 40 years.

LOL....'tainted'

either nothing is tainted or everything is tainted.........doesn't matter either way........watch the game, drink beer, eat food, talk about the last game, talk about the next game, repeat

today's media through intense self-justification, needs to make it about more than just the sport

OP had an extra dose of salt.

There IS a double standard. Most of America is going to revel in the mistakes (real or perceived) of a California-bred male model-look-and dress-alike with the supermodel wife. The aw shucks, ugly schmo from the bible belt that has been selling them pizza for 15 years, not so much. In Peyton, they see themselves. In Brady they see the guy in high school that stole their girlfriend. Such is life. Let's just improve the team so we can keep winning at an absurd clip and increase the hate.

you all need to start playing moba's, then you will have some semblance at how insignificant your current rage level is.

Got to give it to Denver. They win with a QB that was very Trent Dilfer like and a really good defense.

On the bright side. I had 4 and 0 as one of my squares and did well for myself for the final score.

The forum is attracting trolling gossip maggots from the bowels of New Jersey.

Now I'm picturing Chris Berman narrating GOT highlights: "Walder Frey stabbed the King of the North in the back-backbackbackbackbackback!"
