I am pretty excited about the pats signing him. When Asante Cleveland was promoted, I was bummed. I was hoping to see what Fauria could do.

If Gronk misses Sundays game, will they go with Chandler/Williams/ Cleveland?

Williams missed the Broncos game with a knee injury, so it will be interesting to see how this develops this week. If gronk is a no go, they either have to promote Fauria or go with 2 tight ends.

Probably needs a few more weeks in the playbook unless they use him exclusively in red zone. Depends on Williams as well like you said. If Williams is out I think he plays next week for sure.

Fauria or Moss

I'm not sure what the assessment of Cleveland was but he seemed to do ok.

I'm indifferent with Fauria. They like something about him.

Fauria: 6'7", 259 lbs, 7 td last year with Detroit.

Sure, why not?

Judging by his TD receptions that I've watched, he seems to actually fight for the ball.

He might have some legit upside. We need another weapon and quite frankly chandler has been decent not great.

Problem is, with so many injuries it gets tricky to figure out who to cut to promote him. My answer is yes but not sure who we move off the roster as we have so many backups playing.

Cleveland, perhaps. Harper, perhaps, with DA coming back.

Well, with Harper cut that solves the roster spot issue. Even when Gronk is back, I'd much rather see Fauria taking Chandler's red zone snaps. He's got great hands and a knack for finding the ball.

It does, I am curious how they fill the spot. I'm hoping for Fauria, obviously he's no Gronk, but he would probably be our best receiving TE while Gronk is out.

It would be the classic BB Out-of-Nowhere WTF?! Acquisition that contributes down the stretch run. We haven't had our 2015 version of that yet.

We just need players that will fight for the ball. That's why we lost those two superbowls. No fight. Eli has guys that make great catches and when we get some in gronk, dola, and edes we win too. Lafell is good and tough but doesn't fight for it enough either. That long throw to him last game, if he just ran to the ball he would have caught it. Fauria would have at least had one dpi trying to fight for one of those sideline throws targeted chandler.

Fauria seems like more of a threat than Chandler. I say give him a shot, he may actually catch a couple of those sideline balls

Assuming Brady is comfortable with Fauria, I would swap him for Cleveland. Fauria
has had some success at the NFL level as a pass catcher. Leave the blocking to Fleming
and Williams.

How is his blocking?

Gronk is certain to miss some time and they created a roster slot for someone.

I think Gronk will miss Sunday's game, with Harper gone Fauria is as probably as good a choice as there is right now, it depends how comfortable #12 and McDaniels are with his development.

They haven't filled Harper's spot yet, I wonder why ?
