... Rolando McClain could drop pretty FAR in the draft, perhaps even all the way to #22. At that point, do you draft McClain OR do you draft the best available DE/OLB, considering that Miami picks right before us in round 2??

Check out this mock draft:

2010 7-round NFL Mock Draft - NFL Draft Site - DraftSite.com

They have Miami taking Spiller at #12. Huh? Then Jerry Hughes at #43.

Rolando McClain goes at #15 to the Giants according to this mock.

The Pats take Brandon Graham at #22 and Jahvid Best at #44.

Things that make you go Hmmmm.

That is a TERRIBLE mock draft. And yes, I would definitely draft McClain. He and Mayo next to each other in the same backfield would be excellent. It's just too bad that he'll never drop to 22. If he did, though, I would address OL, DE, and OLB in the second since this is going to be a deep draft at most positions. Addressing the DE position is going to be easier said than done, though.

I will paint myself in Tide colors if we can pick Ro.

I really like Best at #44, but I'm not sure that Brandon Graham is the best available pick at #22.

If McClain falls to 22, you take him. With him and Mayo, you solidify the Pats ILB corps for at least 4 years, if not more..

I think that McClain has a good chance to fall to the Pats for a variety of reasons. Especially when looking at the needs of the other 3-4 teams in front of the Pats.

Though, I think this thread is better off in the draft forum.

Spiller at 12? Not a fan of Best but McClain at 22 yes!
