This season isn't over yet, but I don't think they make it out of the conference without Shaq against the Bulls. Against the heat? Maybe 50/50. Bulls end up taking the title against the team that beats LA in the West.

Then what? Pierce, aging, still a top scorer and knows how to play defense. KG, OLD, still brings it on the defensive half, showing his age on the offensive end. Great team leader. Allen, aging/old, legs have been showing they're age the ladt few seasons in the playoffs. Who do you move? Perk got axed, the fact we were relying on O'neal, O'Neal and KG is pretty comical. I thought I remembered hearing that one Dwight Howard is scheduled to be a free agent...He'd look pretty amazing in Green, as would the Banners (yeah, with an S). Phase out allen and KG. Rondo/Pierce/Howard as the new nucleus (although how much longer does pierce really have?), and you get a few years of Rondo/Allen/Pierce/KG/Howard. If they can make it work with all the contracts for the few years I don't see how they aren't the perennial favorites for the trophy every year...

Not sure If you've watched any games lately. The team which beats the Lakers will defend the West? That might be New Orleans, and they will not get by the Thunder. Evidently, you did not watch Ray Allen against the Knicks.

For one, I can't see Orlando trading Howard to the Celtics. The Magic will want A LOT for him and I don't think they're going to want any of the aging (though still effective) stars the Celtics have. For another, he's a free agent AFTER next season. I think that if he goes anywhere, it's (sadly) going to be the Lakers. They can package Bynum plus a few other role players together for Howard. Personally, I think the Celtics are much more likely to make a move for Kevin Love.

Howard's actually a very good free throw shooter for a center. I see this because I have a room mate who is a HUGE Magic fan (meaning that I have to watch every game that they're playing even though watching the Magic is like watching paint dry).
