How to turn the season around

I call you out because you are lying about your draft position, and you don’t know what you are talking about. You were begging for them to take McCarthy, then instantly changed your username when they took Maye, and said it was just because you want to support the team, when in truth it was too try and look like you wanted Maye all along. And you want MacDaniels to oversee AVP when they don’t even run the same offense. As for Higgins you want them to use a day 2 pick during a lost season, and pay a clear #2 #1money.
I was on both I was on McCarthy and Maye but admittedly more on McCarthy prior to Mayes pro day. Then back on Struggling between Maye McCarthy Harrison and Nabors,

Cause I even suggested trading for Fields and taking a wr or taking Wr and o line and drafting rattler in the fourth.

This is total ********, you were on McCarthy right up until Maye was picked, then you immediately changed your name to “ Love the Drake:” I only know what a few people wanted, but you and Patsfans 2 were as vocal about wanting McCarthy, and for the Pats to trade out, respectively, as I was about taking the QB at 3, with Maye being my favorite.

You don’t seem to understand that MacDaniels and Van Pelt run different offenses, and I have zero interest in going back to Erhardt-Perkins. I’m fine with getting rid of Van Pelt at the end of the season, but they need to stick with the Shanahan West Coast offense.
I am also done with the EP offense. I feel like that was a BB thing unless Weiss, McDaniels and BoB prefer that offense.

Zero chance Mayo gets fired this year
Theoretically, if they lose the remaining games by two TD's or more, it could happen. Especially if they are undisciplined and it looks like effort is lackluster.

Maybe. Doubt it. Unless they got someone lined up already. Which I don’t believe would even be legalish. If he loses the first 5-6 games next year then all bets are off..

With the exception of a cheap OT, no resources should be spent specifically trying to improve this years team. Any additions need to be part of the future if draft choices are involved.
And, those pieces have to be no older than Mid-20's (26 at the oldest).

I'm all in for Ben Johnson as HC next year, and let him bring in his guys.

The Rooney rule says that you either have to do a compliant search including at least two external minority candidates, or you can include a contract clause giving the job to a specific current coach in the event of a vacancy.

The Patriots did the latter with Mayo, and informed the NFL well in advance, so they were allowed to bypass the search.

And then in 25’ they should fire Johnson and bring in a veteran coach because Johnson didn’t have the experience. Then they should hire Vrabel, but fire him in 26’ because they didn’t win any playoff games. Then they should hire KirbyvSmart, he’s been a great college coach. Then after 27’ they should fire Smart because he’s really just a college coach…………

This is how all the great franchises do it. Give your coach a year and then succumb to the fans demands that they want another coach, because this one sucks.

Yep. want them to run offenses as close to Shanahan’s system as they can get. The 49ers can run the ball effectively and throw the ball effectively, and that’s the best kind of offense imo. I love watching the Chef’s, but it’s really a pass first offense, and it’s harder to close out games and protect your QB in that system. They also rely heavily on Reid’s playcalling.

The problem is I see the Pats getting a few wins once Maye settles in and gives false hope to keep Mayo.

Ben Johnson should be heavily pursued as HC.
Or the Houston Texans OC , stroud and other players such as day 2/3 WR developed into really good players.

Why turn the season around anyway? As 1-5 you are not going to the playoffs so any additional wins due to trades now just makes the draft position worse for a possible franchise OT or game changer on the d line

The single most important thing right now is to develop Maye, regardless of the W/L record.

Two words: Fire Mayo.

He is not going to get better and has already lost the locker room by throwing them under the bus. Time to cut our loses and not ruin Maye
