How Should the Pats Approach the Last 2 Weeks?

With their heads held high, a swagger in their step and a song in their heart.

SWAGGER

THERE IS NO FKING SWAGGER

This relates more to the last week of the season, I guess, because it's all-out until the division is clinched.
You are stating the obvious. The New England Patriots need to worry about the New England Patriots and NOT THE SCOREBOARD OF OTHER GAMES. The New England Patriots are not even close to peaking for the playoffs. So much for sixty minutes of professional football from the offense and the defense.

But the last week of the season could pose an interesting choice for the Pats. If Tennessee beats San Diego, certainly possible, assuming the Pats beat Jax they'll go into their last game of the season against Houston with the #2 seed alive. No way in hell Washington beats San Diego out there, but how do the Pats approach that game?
Hmmmm ...... You play to win the game!

Just two words
Fourth seed.

Not always. The Pats didn't play to win the last regular season game of the 2005 season.

NFL Playoff Projections, Scenarios for Week 16 - Dom Bonvissuto - SI.com

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (9-5)

If The Playoffs Started Today: In; No. 3 seed (wins tiebreaker with Cincinnati based on strength of victory)
Remaining Schedule (Projected Results): vs. Jacksonville (W); at Houston (W)
Final Projected Record; Playoff Seeding: 11-5; No. 3
Extra Point: The Patriots are a power broker in the race for the No. 5 and 6 seeds because they play two of the 7-7 teams. Ironically, by beating both the Jags and Texans, the Patriots will be helping clear a path for the division rival Jets and/or Dolphins to make the postseason.
