How satisfying would it be to hoist the Lombardi in Indy and Brady holding up the MVP? You'd have to think for Colts fans, that would be like Bucky Dent, Bill Buckner, Grady leaving Pedro in/Aaron Boone and losing SB 42 rolled into one.

Re: How satisfying would it be...

It would be better if Manning played all year and we beat him, both in the regular season and in the playoffs on our way to the Lombardi. It'll be sad if Manning doesn't play this year and the Colts are terrible and irrelevant in the year they get to host the Superbowl. The year the Pats had Cassel at the helm, even though we went an incredible 11-5, just didn't feel right the whole time.

Re: How satisfying would it be...

My Colts hate has diminished along with the quality of their team. Now the most satisfying thing I can think of would be dispatching the Jets and Giants in back to back games to end the season.

I don't care about the MVP. While the odds are against the Pats winning the SB this year, my joy would be for Robert Kraft winning a SB the year the Pats dedicated the season to his wife.

Yeah, not sure it would be ALL of the above to them...

It would be great to win it in Indy, S.Florida, California or the North Pole.

I get what you're saying obviously, and yes it would make it better to see them in Indy, but I doubt it would have anywhere near the effect on the Indy fans compared to what you're describing.

Ummmm

Why are the odds against the Pats winning the SB?

Actually Vegas gives them better odds than the other 31 teams

The odds are against winning the Super Bowl if you are a Bengals or Bills fan,it's not like this team is rebuilding...that was last year's 14-2 team

Re: How satisfying would it be...

My dream would be the Pats beating the Jets in the AFCCG while just before the game ends,Bart Scott is too close to the Pats sideline and Belichick does his impression of Woody Hayes and punches Bart right in the mouth while screaming 'you know what a-hole? I bet you can't wait to GOLF!!'

My feelings bases on our playoff record the past few years where we've been favored to win but played flat.

I'd like the Pats to win a playoff game first and foremost this season.

Yikes!! As a diehard Woody Hayes fan for life, I'd hate to see the same fate happen to Belichick just b/c he had his head in the game too much.

I'd rather see Belichick just devise a game plan to make Scott totally irrelevant, then have one of Scott's P.O.S. teammats turn on him and deck him in the face instead :rocker:

Even the favorite has pretty rough odds. I'll tell you what- you take the Pats and I'll take the field- let's make a bet

This would be the sweetest end to a season. Shutting the fat man up in the AFCC and revenge on Big Blue in SB46 with Irsay watching us doing it in his stadium :rocker::rocker:

Re: How satisfying would it be...

It would be satisfying no matter where it happened. If it's in Indy this year (which it is), then that's where it'll be most satisfying this season. If it were somewhere else this season, then it'd be just as satisfying. I just want the Lombardi no matter where it happens.

Re: How satisfying would it be...

One game at a time folks ! let us win our divisional round first. No wild card round will be a first step in the direction, so win the freaking divisiion :snob:

Re: How satisfying would it be...

Would the colts pump crowd noise to help the nfc team?

Re: How satisfying would it be...

This thread reminded me in a funny way of how the Packers started the season. Anybody remember? They came out in Cowboy outfits and set a believe tone in Sep 2010. I wonder if it worked for them...
