This is an unusual season for TB12, his stats are at an all time low. How many touchdowns, yards, completion percentage, interception, passer rating do you guys forecast this season?

Who cares?
We are not Denver or the Colts.

I have a better idea for this thread. Let's predict the post number where libra tells us that Brady should be benched in favor of Mallett. Naturally, I'll start it off. I'm going with post #9 FTW. uke:

I know people here like to get smug and say all they care about are wins, but some of us do actually concurrently root for the player.

While I will always put the Pats first, I do want to see Brady succeed as an individual player and I don't think it's mutually exclusive. Especially in today's league.

I want Brady to be the GOAT. I like big stats. There, I said it.

With a healthy gronk and amendola, his numbers should improve. But remember until last week, we really only had the rooks as RZ threats for Tds.

I guess I'm in the middle somewhere. My knee-jerk reaction to the question was "I don't care", but that's not entirely true. While the team winning will always be my first priority by far, individual stats do count to me. In retrospect, it bothered me to see Brady's TD/game streak end, although at the time I was much more concerned with the loss to the Bengals that day. However, in time that loss will be long forgotten and the end of TB's streak will be much more meaningful, at least to me. Obviously, individual and team stats other than W/L in football are hard to ignore when assessing the relative success of players and teams. Just my take.

Thread begs for a poll.

I predict 20 touchdowns passes in the regular season.

So far he has thrown as many as Carson Palmer, Matt Schaub, Joe Flacco, Jake Locker, Colin Kaepernick, RGIII, and Geno Smith...

Pretty sobering thought.

It's actually crazy to think that he was one miraculous finish away from having a 3 game TD drought after being on the verge of setting and all time record.

Or better yet, will Brady finish with more TD throws than Welker has TD receptions?

Somewhere around his early career numbers.

This. Have people forgotten that these numbers, except maybe completion percentage, are fairly similar to how he did pretty much every year before 2007?

Yeah i would gladly take that along with a couple of playoffs wins or possibly Superbowl.

how many superbowls will he win this year?

My hope is 1.

NFL pass defense is a lot more neutered now than it was before 2007 (and especially before 2005). I don't know how meaningful it is to compare Brady to his early-career numbers. A better comparison would be to compare each year's Brady to that year's league average.

Stats don't really matter. Brady has already thrown 50 TDs and had the greatest offensive season of all time (2007).

As for this season, He'll probably end up around 57% completion 24 TDs and 12 picks which is a bad season for him accuracy wise. But he's got a completely new receiving corps so what can you do?

Don't matter according to who? It matters to me, as a fan.

Moreover, you can only bandy about things like "stats don't matter" when there a reasonable chance you can go to the Superbowl. Brady can barely get this offense to one passing TD a game. Whatever you think of stats, that's not a Superbowl offense.

I can see "stats don't matter" when it's a 30 TD season. It's a little more dire than that.

Through 7 games, here's the pace Brady is on, assuming he plays all 16 regular season games:

361-651 (55.4%), 3,904 yds, 6.0 ypa, 18 td, 11 int, 75.3 rating

Those numbers, when put into proper league context, would be by far his worst performance ever.

I think he'll be better in the 2nd half so I'm hoping for about 4,000 yds, 23-25 td, and about 8-9 int.

High 20's (including playoffs and SB win )
