I believe more than most other teams, New England gives players a chance to make the team regardless of draft status. As evidenced by 2 or more UDFAs making the 53 man roster year in and year out.

We have 7 picks (8 if we get a compensatory), and by all accounts there is a lot of depth this year meaning a lot of good players won't get drafted.

Time will tell, but this head coach and entire staff are great teachers and they thrive on it. We will really miss Dante and Pepper, but I have faith that the culture of the coaching staff remains in tact and gives us an edge when the incoming class is so deep, due mainly to around 100 underclassmen declaring.

TE, DT, Safety.

Jace Amaro 1st
DT/Safety 2nd
Troy Niklas 3rd

Amaro to replace AH and Niklas as a Gronk backup.

Could you imagine our 3 TE set in the Redzone?

I'm not quite sure that Niklas lasts until the 3rd round (where we'll pick), but I would love the idea of improving the TE position by double dipping twice in the first 3 rounds.

I would be awfully surprised if this actually happened, however.

I think our needs in the trenches and at safety are pretty great as well.

I agree about Niklas not lasting, it was more of my hope that the Pats get him, because of his play style. Reminds me of Gronk but a little less reckless play style

am sure the pats will sign more players before the Draft but right now there are a lot of holes that need to be filled so I could see them trading down to add more dept to the team

I see O-line as a need for us. If we can give Tom enough time, eventually someone will be open long enough for him to throw the ball.
