A surprising lack of love for #44 here after the Panthers game, where I thought his versatility really shone through.
While I suspect that if his 43 yard run had begun in a regular season game he'd have been knocked over in the process of his first cut back when he opened up the hole. once he got moving he looked both quick and strong, barrelling through a couple of tackles and putting his shoulder into one guy.
My eye is less trained in these matters than others, but it looked to me like he made a couple of great blocks early on and he is sound in the passing game.
While I share the concerns of many that we don't have a definitive number two back on our depth chart at the moment, the combination of Faulk/Morris/Evans gives the team plenty of options, particularly when Maroney needs a break, and with a beefed up passing game, these guys should be a powerful component in the offence as the season shapes up.
