I agree the defense was built for the Chiefs, but losing Jason McCourty changed the secondary a lot, and they weren’t nearly as good down the stretch. Gilmore was also playing at a mere all-pro level and not super-alien level for the last month of the season. At Arrowhead, I think them getting blown out is a pretty likely result. That offense would have eventually caused the defense to defend too many short fields against Mahomes.

Pats should've easily scored 23 vs the Titties, whose defense is much better than the Queefs'.

All bets are off of course if we had to go to Arrowhead, but I am basing this opinion on the ass-umption that Brady doesn't throw that ******ed Pick-6 vs Miami and therefore Pats don't lose the bye week because of it...
