You do realize that that defense in Week 5 did neutralize that offense for 3 quarters. Now it was aided by the offense but the D did deserve some credit.

With 2 minutes left in the third quarter it was 31-7.

Patriots deciding to go for it on 4 downs and Brady getting sacked set the Broncos up on the NE 43. Which made it 31-21. gotta believe if they were to meet again and the Pats were in a similar position they would be punting.

They held Manning to only two long successful drives that game. That was with Arrington and Moore as the #2 & #3 corners (although Dennard did come in the game) and McCourty wasn't playing safety.

Not sure about punting. There something about manning which makes BB just take chances on offense. That game is so long ago. Just like we had defensive issues so did they . They let us convert on 3rd and 19 and 3rd and 14 on woodhead runs. Doesnt happen very many times. Just like we left plays on the field so did they. A wide open thomas on the first drive who was luckily stripped by moore before he reached the endzone for eg.

you have to take chances when playing manning..becasue he is going to score sooner or later on you
