Everyone does realize that the Jets played their best football game in December against Miami, right?

They didn't lose because of the schedule or because they quit. In fact, they actually fought harder than they had in weeks coming out in the 3rd quarter and getting the lead back after Favre's horrendous decision making put them behind.

The Jets were poorly coached, poorly quarterbacked, clearly after reading the papers this week had issues in the locker room, and their defense hadn't stopped anyone since before Thanksgiving. They lost because they stink and they played a better football team and no scheduling changes would have changed that.

The point being made in this thread is the corrupt manner upon which the NFL moved the WK 17 starting time to screw, even before the games were played, the New England Patriots.

The Dallas Cowboys have superior talent to probably 90% of the NFL. They stink too. NFL football isn't fanatsy football - it isn't about collecting individual talent, it is about building a team. (A pretty smart guy lists that as his philosophy)

The Jets were dominated by the Broncos, dominated by the 49ers, and pushed all over the field by Buffalo and Seattle in their previous 4 games. Only the fact that JP Losman is terrible and **** Jauron made a bad play call kept them from losing 4 straight to teams that didn't manage a winning record in 2008. The Jets stink.

Any decent team, having their quarterback shot-put, nerf-ball style, their throws, like a can of corn, directly into the opposing defensive backs arms, with no teammate within 10 yards, will have a tendency to be not only under-performing, but demoralized, particularly when it its done on purpose.

Sorry, but the Dec. '08 Jets beat the Dolphins 9 times out of 10 at the Meadowlands if they are playing with everything on the line (assuming also that their QB actually wants to win the game).

Played a significant role in sending the 11-5 Patriots home without a playoff berth. On the most important 2008 regular season week, he chose, alleging TV ratings for the 1pm & 4pm non-prime time slots, as the reason to only have the Jets sit back and wait for the outcome of the Ravens and Patriots 1 pm games. Only after heavy pressure did Goodell back-off and allow the Ravens to go into the 4pm spot also. That was hardly an issue for the Ravens, up against the mail-it-in Jags. I am convinced the Jets would have defeated the Dolphins if New England loses. Thanks again Roger.

Jets lost because Favre sucks, not becaused of when they played. Get over it.

Eh, the bottom line is that the Pats hurt themselves more here. It does suck how it happened, but the team could have prevented that from happening by winning one more game than it did. I'm still proud if this team either way. 11-5 this year with what they faced is a tremendous acheivement. But we could have had this wrapped up by Week 17 with one more win.

The point is,as it has ALWAYS BEEN, and which NO ONE seems to be willing to acknowledge, the ongoing attempts at destroying the Patriot franchise by an AGENT of Woody Johnson disguised as "commissioner".

Get rid of Jetdell and watch this league go back to normal immediately.
