Camp fodder
Posted by Karen Guregian at 2:46 pm

Here are a few quick items to digest between training camp sessions.

** Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady will once again adhere to a less-is-better approach when it comes to throwing the football during the pre-season. He’ll be pacing himself, throwing during only one of the double sessions, as he did today. And as it was, sparingly.

“Each year, I’ve learned something different. I think the goal this year isn’t to go out and see how sore my arm can get,” Brady said. ”I think for our team, it’s the same thing. The goal is to be ready in September.”

** Defensive lineman Richard Seymour looks terrific, having shed some 10 pounds. More important, he’s healthy for the start of camp for the first time in several years. He told reporters that thanks to knee trouble last year, he couldn’t do a leg extension, from a seated position, late last season.
