wow. so many over sensitive people in here.

Just be glad he did not pick on a black guy. He could have used the line

"They told me he could only cook fried chicken".

You think the story would be different?

Yes, I thought so...

Although I bet he has used the line "me soo horney..." plenty of times....

Racism! Bullying! WE DEMAND AN APOLOGY!!! Alert the commissioner! Start an investigation!

:bricks::bricks::bricks:
Mr Scribe don't even say that in Jest, I'm sick of the umteen stories a day about Incognito and the Fins locker room..

I wonder what would have happened if he said something offensive to Jews or what could be considered anti-semitic? I wonder how Kraft would react.

That's not racist, everybody loves fried chicken. A black teammate of mine liked to bust my balls about how much of it I ate.

I have to be honest I would prefer to get back to media attention for our thug murderer ex tight end Hernandez instead of Belichick, Brady and McDaniels thinking baseball players are smaller than football players, and Gronkowski thinks that Asian people make fried rice.

My father is Jewish growing up the kids used ask me why the Jew played football – to get the quarterback. I thought it was freaking hilarious still do in fact. My fiancé is 25% Asian her grandmother met her grandfather in Nam and came back with him she is old school Japanese and she is a great lady, she also has rice in her rice cooker 7 days a week 24 hours a day and if you said I thought you made fried rice she would say chicken, pork or shrimp. Check out the North End Italians really do make pasta, check out China Town they really make rice, hit up Brookline you’ll see Kosher food, etc. etc.

Good point. I think all heck would break loose.

I was gonna say, hell, at least he didn't kill anybody. Something tells me the bar is kind of low for Pats' tight ends now.

i personally think its just fun and games....(no offense to anyone).

of course media wants to pick up on it given the incognito situation.

I am weary of being ever-so-cautious of every syllable I utter. Bring back 1970, where a man could speak freely (and keep a pint in the desk drawer).

It's all about delivery and common sense.

If your fiancée's grandmother was walking down the street and some dude yelled at her to cook some fried rice, would you consider that offensive?

No kidding! Whenever I get delivery, my common sense says lo mein instead of flied lice.

Honestly thats a determination she would have to make, if the Asian guy was expressing his displeasure I would see issue with what Gronkowski did. So far all I've seen is white and black media members using it to gain recognition.

The macho toughguy "PC is WUSSIN' US TO DEATH WAAAAHHHH!!!" crowd doth protest too much, methinks.

We can still take a ribald joke and hold our tongues when the time merits. Dirty jokes will not be outlawed, don't worry.

Yes, the timing of this is probably not good but... Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Would it be racist if he called a white guy John Smith?

john smith is just a common name, not just a common white name.

I know 2 john Smith's, both black, one of which is John Smith III...

My friend got shot at for screaming Fried Chicken Watermelon Kunta Kinte in Harlem once. To this day not one of us knows why things got so violent...

Not all people are the same but if he made some non-hateful Jewish joke I'd be surprised if Kraft didn't laugh and enjoy it. The vast majority of The Tribe that I've known have great senses of humor that includes jokes about themselves.

We have to look at the positives here - it could have been a lot worse, if Gronk was a Dolphins player he’d of threw in his intent to bukakki the Asian guys sister.
