This is roster management pre Brady/Nik return. They cut Anthony Johnson a week early figuring it would look more like a dump than being forced to make a move on someone they wanted. Now they're using the last spot for tryouts.

Agreed, a VERY strange player to call up given all the options and team circumstances we are aware of. Is he the Gronk backup to a newly implemented BUF gameplan? We're set on ST as far as I know. What else can the kid do beside TE? Is BB doing him a solid, play 1 game, before he cuts him and sends him back to bagging groceries. Maybe they are about to fill the PS. Damn! This one is a serious head-scratcher. Yes, he may only be #53 on the depth chart to you, but he's just as important as TB to me. I MUST KNOW! Why did you do it Bill? Why????????????????????

But seriously, does anyone got ideas why they picked this guy instead of several other options.

Going to be tough getting time/reps with Develin as a FB. Hopefully it works out for the kid. I'm sure Rob has him mentally prepared.

I agree. I don't think he's here long term (could be wrong; but then again, who isn't with BB haha), but I still have a premonition that Reece somehow lands here granted he's healthy..
