Maybe I'm just missing it, but is anyone in the national media saying much about Gronkowski? He's basically a lock to break the record he temporarily had before they reviewed it and is an absolute beast out there.

Considering he's a TE and has to block quite a bit (something he's pretty good at as well), I'd say he's just about as valuable a weapon in the offense as Welker is.

And it's not that TE's don't get recognized, I remember so many promo pieces on Gates, Gonzalez, etc. over the years

Best TE in the game right now, c'mon, show him some love!

Screw the national media... GRONK GRONK GRONK!!!!!

Most of the TV coverage I've been exposed to has NFL commentators dropping their jaws in awe of what Gronk is achieving.

I don't know...i think Gronk is pretty widely recognized as one of the best TEs in the league by now.

Gronk is getting a healthy amount of recognition, IMO and deservedly so.

He may not have the overall receiving numbers of Jimmy Graham, but at the PoA he is every bit Daniel Graham. He really manhandles people.

He's a little to young for me, but I absolutely LOVE HIM!!

The only flaw in GRONK's game is that he has yet to produce any GRONKlings for Baby Brady.

My impression has been that Gronk is getting a ton of national media as the best tight end in the game. ESPN won't stop fawning over him.

The OP might think this because all we ever hear is how GB/Rodgers are going to win every game for the next 10 years. Kinda overshadowing...

I think Gronk is getting a lot of media love. One thing he definitely deserves is mention in the MVP. If he isn't in the top ten in voting, then he is being disrespected. He'll have 15-17 TD catches (blowing away the record), might have 90+ catches and 1000+ yards by the end of the season. That doesn't happen every year for TE's. He needs to be in the Offensive MVP discussion.

He's gotta be Pro Bowl bound.

The voters only get one vote, alas, so it's all but a given it'll be near unanimous for Aaron Rodgers.

That's not going to happen.

Gronk will be attending the Pro Bowl as a starter....who is better at his position?

Well, he should be voted the starter. We just hope he has better things to do that weekend.

Man...i'm thinking that the AFC TE's suck.

Gronk should be the starter...for the life of me i can't think who should be his backup. All the guys that pop into my head are in the NFC.

EDIT: Going by the numbers Hernandez should have a legit shot at making the probowl lulz.

Did u notice...after Gronk temporarily set the TD record, Brady began firing the ball Hernandez's way. Keep 'em all happy. And how about BB's "we're not looking at records" BS. The fact is....BELICHICK GOES AFTER EVERY ATTAINABLE RECORD

It does seem odd that we haven't heard a peep about how he leads the NFL in touchdown receptions with 13.

He should be mentioned in the MVP talks at least. I can't even turn it to a sports channel without hearing Tim Tebow's name and he's done nothing, he even gets more talk than the so-called best QB this year Aaron Rodgers and GB's undefeated streak.

The only time I hear anyone discussing Gronk is during a Pats game or on pre-shows where they have to say something about the Patriots, even then he's only mentioned as "the talented tight-ends" Which IMO is a diss to Gronk and his skill. When Hernandez stops dropping Brady's passes he'll be as good as Gronk, but right now he's not. He's still better than the other TEs in the AFC though.

In short, yes, you're missing it.
