I disagree that we can conclusively weight the TFB-era Patriots to just TFB. Clearly, he is a huge part of it, but the wild card is what part of it Bill Belichick was. If you believe every pundit on that first SB run, Brady was "overrated." It was a combination of BB and luck. If you're the Raiders, "cheating" by being the beneficiary of the rules.
That whole 01-04 run it was all about how he needed help, was really a game manager with good accuracy, blah blah blah.
It's funny that the body of work of TFB has become utterly undeniable, but now the dominant narrative is that BB is nothing without Brady. Well, that ain't proven either.
I think we're heading for a big decline, sure. But I'll leave it in the "the future is unwritten" basket.
If we're not tanking, being power-ranked somewhere around 16th sounds like Belichick fuel.
