Greg Bedard: coaching directly to blame for Seattle, Miami losses

There were some coaching errors, most concerning was the mental errors, 12 men on the field on 4th down punt return and all the penalties. That points to coaching.

I will say this though, outside of the penalties I thought the defense had a great rebound game and the special teams was pretty good.

I see a mostly well coached team that needs to clamp down on discipline. Stop having so much fun, you’re professionals… do your job. And maybe put that sign back up on the wall.

The Patriots have personnel weaknesses, specifically on the offensive line. That’s a front office problem.

The defense allowing 193 rushing yards is a rebound game? A shanked punt, other punts landing in the end zone and a missed 33-yard field goal is good special teams?

Your first graph is accurate. However, this is far from a well-coached team simply hamstrung by personnel weaknesses.

15 points allowed, two forced turnovers… this despite our offense’s inability to create time consuming drives or score.

If our offense could do anything at all the defense would look a lot better. The Dolphins controlled the time of possession.

The defense lost a lot of its ability to stop the run with the loss of Bentley, he was their main run stopper. The goal is still to prevent points, they did that.

Want to play good defense, play less defense… impossible to do with an offense that is close to dead last in points, yards and first downs.

I don't blame the offense for the defense giving up a whopping 193 yards rushing. Huntley -- who still managed 194 yards passing -- prevented Miami from scoring more. And AVP's ridiculous pass-heavy game plan prevented the Patriots from scoring more than Miami. Pats coaching in all three phases was abysmal in that game, a game they should have won.

Why do you care what Greg Bedard has to say? This is the second "OMG Greg said...!" thread you started.

Turn off the radio, my guy.
There was a time years ago that posters on here were really interested about what bedard had to say. I don't know what he said that made him so unpopular.
