:agree:Yes I think that way also, plus much of us have a Red Sox mentality were if we don't get the best free agents then our rival(Yankees) will. That is baseball were that can and does make a difference. This is the NFL were the Patriots and Steelers prove that is not the case.

Yes, they do really count. Both were ERFA. And the Pats could have let McGrew walk after the season since he spent it on the IR. They didn't. They went out of their way to keep him.
