It's hard to argue with a Super Bowl ring, in part due to an amazing Super Bowl performance by Shane Vereen, but Woodhead was one of my favorite Patriots and it sucks to read that he was nearly on his way back.

I loved Danny Woodhead, what a warrior. Such a tough player. I kinda wished he did resign with us, but Vereen was huge for this team (miss him too). I'm hoping when all is said and done, DJ Foster is the next great Pat's receiving back. White is pretty good, Lewis, I hope he can have a long prosperous career, hopefully with us, but I just don't see it happening.

I just hope the other posters were correct in guessing it was left unsaid but about the money re: him defecting to SD. If it's truly because they called the moment he was going to come back here...smh.

I don't believe in anything like that personally but, if it works for him then what's the problem? Whether it's real or not if it helps people then I still think it's a good thing.
