Gotta make this happen I’ve been calling for this.

The is is idiotic, Cooper does nothing for this teams future. They have a hnxh of younger receivers who need touches (and a QB who Yanno throws it to them)

Cooper is a good bottom 2 or top 3 receiver for a contender

Imagine if the patriots are dumb enough to give up draft capital for something so meaningless?
I agree, Cooper is not what you want or need in a rebuild. We have young receivers and a possible top QB, develope them first. I feel in time we will have a good to great receiver room with them. It just takes time.

Tyquan is guy who at this point you don't feature as a number 1.. he's a nice rotational guy. At least what we know what we can get from KB is he can get open and catch the ball.
T.T.’s usefulness seems to be the ability to have a 3rd string cornerback chase him down the field “just in case” he’s targeted for a “Hail Mary” when the intended receivers are covered. Basically he’s joined a long list of Pats 2nd round “track stars” (Chad Jackson, Bethel Johnson, Tony Simmons, Kevin Lee,…) who maintained that ability only.

That your right on. Like the other night with DJ Reed who he had him beat and all Reed could do was mugg Tyquan. That is where his speed on the outside is beneficial. However those are low percentage plays. We need route runners in the offense. KB is a precise route runner and has sure hands. That will always keep a guy on the field.

This team is NOT READY to overpay for end-of-career "proven" players who will used up by the time the Pats are ready actually to compete for something. We need to stop grasping at pointless shiny objects. stick to the job, and compete the rebuild. There is plenty of work left to do before we start shopping for feel-good finishing touches.

Not hard to see why Cooper would be available. The Browns ended the game with their starting LG at LT, starting C at LG, backup C at C, backup RG at RG, and the backup RT they tried to bench at RT. They’re not accomplishing anything this season if any of those injuries are anything serious.
Imagine starting a guard at tackle.

In other words their OL is only slightly better off than the Pats’ line.

he does not want to be there.

and while getting him would be nice, i cannot see why he would agree to come here unless we offer a ridiculous contract extension...

want to spend stupid money, wait til next year and go after the browns left tackle Jedrick Wills... he's fallen off a bit, and might just be available in free agency next year... maybe even this year
The area's to target in next year's FA would be on Defense (and not 28 years old or older types in their 1st season with the Team FA's). If we can also get a Higgins or similar, then great. We then absolutely need a Day 1 STUD at LT and Center, and another 3 down RB wouldn't hurt (I lobbied before the Draft on here for Braelon Allen if we was there in the 4th Round). Anything after that is a bonus. They just cannot afford to screw-up FA and the Draft in this rebuild. Especially if Maye is the real deal.

. Especially if Maye is the real deal.
preach... follow that course you just laid out, and it will go a long way to turning Maye into an effective qb

A nice rotational guy? In what universe is that? The guys been a huge disappointment since he’s been here.
