"BREAKING SPORTS NEWS: The Boston Red Sox have extended manager Terry Francona's contract through 2008"

Our manager who is already under contract, got extended!

I think the Globe and all their media affiliates (NESN) etc. should have to accompany every reference to the Red Sox with the following:
