Gostkowski ties franchise scoring record, sets FG record [merged]

With his 17 points today , Gostkowski has now tied Adam Vinatieri's record of 141 points in a season. . . . with one game remaining. He's also set a franchise record with 34 kitt--er, field goals.

Gostkowski ties record for most points in a season by NEP

I haven't seen it posted elsewhere so here goes. Lost in everything else going on this year is what a great year Gostkowski is having. With 34/37 FG and 39/39 XP, he has 141 points, tying Adam V. for the most ever by a New England Patriot, with one game to go.
In addition, with 141 points he tied Vinatieri for 24th on the alltime best single season total for points with the chance to move up next week vs. Buf...

Ghost was simply huge today. I haven't been able to completely feel comfortable with him as the placekicker. I still can't forget BB passing up the chance for the 48 yd FG in the Superbowl (or whatever).

But I feel much better about him after today. Granted none of his FGs were long, but 4-4 in conditions like we saw today is pretty solid. And his kickoffs continue to be huge despite how cold it's getting.

Big day for him.
