Give Herm Edwards some credit - One helluva draft today for the Chiefs

Bottom line, the guy posted something without really knowing the facts in KC. Now he's backtracking and spinning. Whatever. Typical internet behavior. Lets move on.

BOTH Edwards and the KC FO had all the moves here - It was 50/50 thinking in the selections and trades I am sure

GM's having the final say is not unheard of. Think Jerry Jones and Al Davis. Does anyone really believe that Wade Phillips or Lane Kiffin have equal say with their GM's? With Lamar Hunt recently passing away, Carl Peterson basically owns that franchise now.

Herm the hugger is not an X's and O's guy like Bill. In fact he makes sure those guys get canned before he does. He is not a personnel or cap guy either. He really more like a motivational force. Dungy without the cover 2. They brought him to KC when Vermeil left because they didn't want the hugging to stop. They also still thought they had the offense to win. He ran that puppy into the ground in 2 seasons. Now they are in full rebuild mode. Doesn't really matter who the HC is, and in KC hugging is a higher priority than changing cultures. Herm will be gone before most of these picks pay dividends. KC were the beneficiaries of the teams picking 1-4 and the Minnesota Vikings setting them up to be the best positioned team in the draft to address glaring needs. That is all. Would it be nice to have landed those players - absolutely. Would suck to have needed to, though... So don't overlook that Carl and Herm are also the guys who got them to that point.

Sage advice. A shame you didn't adhere to such a policy after your first post.

Personally I expected someone to actually give him a little credit like I did,Its amazing how much hate a former Jets coach gets in here.

We don't hate him. We just have no idea why you're so overeager to praise him for things he played a minimal role in. If he coached them to a good record or won a big game as an underdog, then this post would be appropriate.

I think most in here would say he cheated using 100x zoom cameras on the opposing sidelines all year on their defense if he won alot of games and the Super Bowl.

Wait...Sound a bit familiar,Eh?

Nope. This thread has gone down even from its inauspicious start.

I think Dorsey will be a bust, Albert can't play Tackle and Flowers is too slow. Plus they traded away the best defensive player in the NFL. So Whoop-de-damn-do.
