Gisele Bundchen apparently stole the show last night.. what a gorgeous woman.

TB12... you are married to the most famous Brazilian today..

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking and
When she passes, each one she passes goes "ah"
When she walks, she's like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle that
When she passes, each one she passes goes

I tried to move this thread into the main Gisele thread but, alas, I am no mod. I am merely a man.

Seriously? Posting your fixations to your anonymous friends? Creeper

What's better than GOAT?

You mispelled Ipanema. :-D

It was a bit awkwardly long...but awesome.

She is obviously a national treasure in Brazil to have been given this honor. However I still don't see why it's such a big deal (front page articles in every major newspaper), or why it aparantly takes great skill, for a woman to put on heels and a dress and walk in a straight line.

Probably the whole deal of walking with the idea that she represents beauty. I'd wager most women, even hot ones, wouldn't have the confidence to go out there and do it, and look confident while doing so. And apparently, top designers in the world feel like she's got the look and body to be the one to model their clothing. That's not skill really, that's just being lucky enough to be born with the right genetics.

Also, I wouldn't want to walk in heels for any distance, let alone that 100 meters or whatever she walked.

She's also the last of her kind. There probably won't ever be another supermodel.

I'm no modeling expert, but I did sleep in my own bed last night...

On the surface I agree but like any profession I think you need to be committed to it to be at the top.

It was in a recent interview that Gisele was asked to explain her success in modeling. She said something to the effect that any success she had wasn't solely because of physical appearance but it was due to taking care of herself, being responsible, studying other models, taking direction from her agents, knowing what the photographers and producers want, having goals and support from her family.

So I think anyone who has that body type and face can have success but because of who she is, she is able to sustain it.

No wonder she and TB12 are a perfect match.

I do wonder.....even if in the most random life moments like planting flowers, cleaning up kid puke or watching re-runs of Gilligans Island, TB12 must say to himself, "I'm actually watching Gillians Island with Gisele Bundchen.

He must.

I don't doubt it at all.

He's never taken any of it for granted, of that I'm sure. And when you don't take success for granted, sometimes it's crazy to think about and you step back and say "whoa".

Agreed. Tom strikes me as having a deep appreciation for what he cares about. Nothing is taken for granted.
