As stated before, peoples' tendency to jump to conclusions with only small pieces of information is what creates those perceptions. Because of the massive amount of information we are exposed to every instant is impossible to analyze in real time, the human mind takes short cuts to understand the world around it (schemas). In many situations schemas are necessary to to function (i.e. driving). That said, relying on small sample sizes to form opinions is deeply flawed. Rushing to judgement is something we should teach all children to try to avoid. Unfortunately, such judgements are used by most to build the foundation of their world view. This is one of the greatest problems in our society. How profound...
Tell me, what else would be creating these perceptions? Do people magically conjure them up?
Saying his actions create perceptions is fine, how on earth does it imply that he is at fault. It still leaves open the fact that said perceptions formed by people are inherently wrong.
Without even a basic understanding of how the human mind works, it would be wise to avoid debates about the subject.
