Schooler will get a good contract for what he does if he keeps playing well and the Patriots value system stays similar to the past. Slater had a nice career and career earnings.

QB is not special, don’t upend how salaries work just because some teams suck at their job.
Schooler just got a decent contract extension. Three years, base value $9,000,000 with 3.5 guaranteed and upside to 10.5 with incentives.

Not bad for a UDFA still playing on his rookie contract. And he’s worth it.

Patriots reportedly sign Brenden Schooler to 3-year extension

I'm not sure if the web guy for the Dallas has a sense of humor or not.... Check this out.

Edit: They deleted the page, or made it unavailable, that is ok, I took a screenshot...

It's still too low. Raise minimum wage to 2 million per person on 53 and 1 million for those on practice squad. The QB salaries are insane . You can't have 4 people on team of 53 eat 75% of cap space.

I love special teams almost as much as I love her.

He actually lasted a long time in New York after being overdrafted and then given that horrible contract.

Not sure why they would want to go with Danny DeVito's son over Jones.

Since the rules were Polianed(Manninged?) QB has been the most special position in any sport. Check out the games more closely and you'll see that it's best QB wins far more often than not. After a quick check of the numbers I see that 10 of the 14 games in week 11 were won by the best QB and 12 of 14 in week 10.

Man, that is a giant pill to swallow. $47M dead cap and gain like $750,000 in space this year, then another $22M in dead cap in 2025. So that's like almost $70M in dead cap and they still have no QB lol.

Must be something in the water in East Rutherford. Jete gonna eat >$70M on Rodgers too. Eerily similar

Now if only they were that consistant against the spread...

Why should any player's draft status determine their true worth? Should a player suffer in relation to other players because the NYFL missed on him? If a guys performing on the field then pay him, just like they eventually had to do with Brady (until they mistakenly thought he was done).

They haven't been? Usually the spread doesn't matter. Either you pick a winner or you miss and pick a loser. The amount of times that a team wins but doesn't cover averages about 2 a week and ties happen far less often.

Devito have a win against Pats on his resume.

I’d take him next year as a backup
