Bill was never taking Pickens and I'm sure he's fine with that. I'm sure he wishes he took someone other than Thornton though.

You think BB went and scouted Thornton?

I don't really parse things like that Bill was running the show.

Kraft said they restructured the draft and BB was not really running the draft decisions from 2021 onwards. Thornton was drafted in 2022. But what does R Kraft know about the Patriots?

Where does it say that?

I've covered this a lot, so I didn't specify in that sentence that it's only high round WR's (1-3)
And Branch was the ONLY exception in 24 years. Everyone else that lasted was 4th rounders and below.
I'm saying though that these people understood the offense.

All the others didn't pick it up nor did they pick any other offense up, really, they were bad everywhere they went

Completely agree but a FS would be nice. A free safety, DE and DT in FA and all offense in the draft. Not many good offensive players in FA - the WRs in FA will be tagged.

Resign Onwenu and Duggar. Jennings and Wilson and Uche maybe.
Agreed as well. Yes! Onwenu is the priority, I'd absolutely love to retain Dugger, the thing with Dugger is we have peppers, Mapu who really came on late last season, I'm sure covington has big plans for him next season. Yes draft should be 90% all offense.

Once you start using your resources to address needs for positions you've already hit on (and are now letting go of), you end up on a treadmill never getting anywhere.

I was always very critical of Belichick giving the money to Shaq Mason instead of Thuney. This created the need to draft Cole Strange.

He franchised Thuney? Then let him walk in FA mind blowing. Strange is a decent player, but we desperately need a LT and quality depth.

You can't give multiple max contracts to your offensive line. Only a couple of them can get the money. You simply cannot spread it around. It's a choice: Mason over Thuney. Mason was a better run blocker than Thuney but always had huge problems in the passing game.

Not that huge Mason is way better than Strange.

Why are we comparing Mason to Strange? Mason could never play LG. The few times he played there was a disaster. We had Onwenu behind Mason. The problem was never letting Mason go. Strange didn't replace Mason. Onwenu did. And Strange was better in pass prom than Mason anyway

Ragdoll Strange you're losing credibility.

Even if you disagree, why are you comparing Strange to Mason? The 2 have nothing to do with one another. Onwenu was Mason's replacement.

I relish good Guard play which is something Strange is a handicap at. Strange was a horrible REACH by BB in the First Round very few homer Patsfans like yourself would disagree.

That's why PFF rated his play so highly I guess.

We may never find out because rumors are he has a career - ending injury.

Regardless, you refuse to answer the question. This is ALWAYS what you do and why I stopped responding to your posts for a month. I think it's time for that again at this point.

Strange was NOT Mason's replacement no matter what you believe. END OF STORY.
