The Texans might be the the Toughest Team I would hate for us to face early on the AFC Playoffs. They have a very Tough Defense that can win anywhere.
They’d indeed be a tough out (defensively), but their offense stinks. I don’t trust Stroud in a big game & their OL is bad as well. I like our chances; especially if can run effectively. Something like 27-17..

He's also bad - that free roster spot has kept him in the league a long time.
To your unspoken point though - is he better than Jack Westover? We're talking margins.

I have no idea. I haven't seen him play enough to know. But or me it was the same question, would he be an upgrade over Westover, although I'm not sure how much I would mess with team chemistry at this moment.

I haven't seen Johnson play recently either. He was a couple steps below Develin when Johnson was with the Pats. Not sure where he's at now.. But it is telling that the Pats chose NOT to claim him when the Texans cut him after TC or to sign him after game 1 when Johnson was on the Texans Practice Squad.

A good comp for this potential Rivers comeback would be Steve Deberg. Almost to an exact T.

Retired at 39 after the 93 season. Returned to the Falcons in 1998 after 5 years at age 44.

Rivers left the NFL when there was only 16 games and Jon Taylor was a rookie.

He was the epitome of health with # 15 - 16 game seasons without missing a game.

Are the Eagles searching for an identity, or just not happy with the identity they have?

The Eagles have an identity, their problem is that it is predicated upon Saquon Barkley, and as good a player as he is they used him so heavily in 24' that he nothing left in the tank for 25. I was listening to podcasts in the preseason and they described the other running backs who had as many touches as Barkely had in 24 and pretty much every one of them had poor seasons the following season. So it's no surprise Barkley dropped off significantly this season, what is a surprise is that Howie Rosebaum didnt see this coming and move to addtess it.
