Neither team wants to change the current score

KC lost both their starting tackles in the game against the Cowboys. The past 7 days have been brutal for injuries to O-linemen.

Isn't it funny how a lot of Lineman that played with a lot of weight slim down after, and skilled guys that played all ripped up get chubby.
It's not a rule, but something that I've certainly noticed with a lot of players throughout the years.
The amount of eating required to maintain 320+ pounds is no joke.

It also gives you the second worst draft spot in every round. If you overachieved to get to the SB, vs have deep talent, that sets you back.
So it’s Super Bowl champs or tank ?

This might be the end of KVN in the NFL...
When I first saw this I was thinking about how the draft is were saying the Ravens got a steal in Mike Green, then I saw it was only 2.5 sacks.

Still a good pick, but not a major miss for other teams.

I absolutely hate those stats. It's just another way to gaslight media and fans.
Well it's a better indicator in a sport like baseball, where it actually is pretty reliable.

The problem with it being related to football is the schedule's too short, and the spread between stats from top to bottom isn't wide enough for it to be as statistically significant. Chiefs DVOA is hard-carried by blowout wins over the Lions and Ravens. (In fact, all their wins are blowouts except the Colts game).

Generally I'd agree though, trying to apply DVOA to football is pretty silly, in a sport where like 80% of games are determined by one score, and the separation between best and worst yards per game is like 75 (basically one drive).

The Chiefs are like #2 in DVOA and they're 6-6.

DVOA just isn't a reliable football stat.

Funny that. We see the old hard number types of stats getting ridiculed as 'not telling a complete story.' Yet the made up subjective PFF BS now that's the goods? Me, I'm over thinking WTH was wrong with things like the final score, completion %, TOP, YPC, 3rd down conversion rate for/against, pressures etc being useful performance indicators? I just can't take anything run by Chris Collinsworh seriously
