Here we go:

  • I got killed for this all week, but I said the Ravens were not the team people were making out to be. Their supposed playoff surge was no different than the Patriots' last four games. They were just squeaking by teams and some bad or failing teams. Their offense is horrible.

  • Kudos to the defense. Stopping Flacco and the Ravens' offense isn't exactly stopping Manning and the Broncos, but they were downright stingy on 3rd downs which has been a problem (the Ravens were 5 -14 and four of the ones they converted were when the Pats were protecting a sizable lead late in the third and fourth quarter). The Ravens' offense didn't even cross the fifty until the second half.

  • Also kudos to the o-line. They were far from perfect, but they held up pretty well without Solder against a good front seven. Special shout out to Wendell who did very well vs. Ngata today.

  • LeGarette Blount went from fan whipping boy to the guy you put in to soften up the opposing defense and guy you want in there a lot. He is a wrecking ball when he runs and still has some moves.

  • Some of the defensive players are getting healthier. I saw Spikes limping a bit, but he clearly is moving much faster than he has any time over the last month. Talib looked a lot better today too.

  • The rookies are starting to emerge a bit. Logan Ryan made some big plays. Broke up a few passes. Got a few TDs. Collins is starting to be a good cover LB that has been desperately missing for a long while since Mayo went out.

  • Another game. Another crappy performance by the refs. I am not crying about calls because more of the bad calls went against the Ravens. The last two minutes of the half was atrocious.

1. The O-Line and running backs on that last drive were what champions are made of. If they can do that the Pats have a shot....coupled with #2.

2. Defense played like it did the start of the year. Amazing effort.

3. The middle of that game the Pats got conservative and I just kept waiting for it to bite them in the @ss.

4. Ron Winter's crew sucks. The Patriots got the better of the calls but they still just ruin the flow of the game.

5. I was really rooting for the shutout but 41-7 was sweet.

6. Get up on the Bills early and give them no reason to play and get healthy for most likely the Bengals.

The Ravens offense consists of throwing it up and hoping for PI. They got some of their own medicine today, so I hope they enjoyed it.

Ridley ran tough at the end of the game. Soon I may be able to breath when he touches the ball... OK maybe not this year, but soon.

Not too impressed with the 3rd quarter, they could have sent the fans home early but instead sputtered.

Can Alamo not count the last 3 minutes? It seems only fair since the Ravens didn't!

Didn't see the game today How did Talib/Dennard/Arrington look out there, do they seem to be getting close to full strength? I believe those 3 getting healthier and DMC staying healthy are the key to our defense being championship caliber.

And how did Dobson do?

I didn't notice Dennard which may be a good thing, but I think Ryan was on the field for him a lot. Talib played well for most of the game. Arrington played well for the most part.

McCourty suffered a concussion which looked bad at the time, but he looked ok on the sidelines.

Dobson beat his defenders a few times. He might have caught a huge pass, but one of his arms got tangled with Webb on the play even though he had the jump on him.

He's only a rookie BUT, run FULL SPEED AT ALL TIMES d%#*!@t!

Kudos to Logan Mankins for filling in at LT for Solder. Played solid enough.

Logan Ryan reminds me of Terrell Buckley. Guy just has a knack for making plays. He is only going to get better but so far I would say he has surpassed everyone's expectations and has turned out to be one of the steals of the draft. Great pick.
