Gaffney To Sign With New England on Two-Year Deal
By: Derek Havens

The New England Patriots will reportedly sign wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson. ...

OMG. This is too much. First, Gonzalez, Lloyd, Stallworth, Branch back, then now Gaff. Too much WRs and not enough RBs. Gaffney is probably already the 3rd best WR on the team.

My predicted depth chart by the season would be:

1. Lloyd
2. Welker
3. Gaffney
4. Stallworth (due to lack of speed at WR)
5. Branch (for depth, in case Lloyd, Welker or Gaffney get injured)
6. Edelman (ST & some defense if needed, Welker insurance)
7. Slater (ST)

Gonzalez and Ocho will be cut for health and playbook concerns, but this is just my predictions. Feel free to disagree.

I will...declaring anything with certainty on May 2nd is ludicrous...how about Gaffney is a good signing and will compete for a roster spot in training camp...right now that's about as far as anybody can go with evaluations.
