  • Brady and BB are the lockiest of locks.
  • Kraft is just a question of policy -- are owners let in or not?
  • Wilfork is almost as locky as if he'd been a complete Pats lifer. He'll be in soon after he's eligible.
  • Rodney was, I think, here long enough to get in. E.g., who was here longer -- Rodney or Parcells?
  • Guys who left for a big payday elsewhere will have trouble getting in, and deserve to. I'm thinking of Deion Branch, who I'd enjoy having in, and Asante Samuel, who I wouldn't.
  • Adam is a special case. He made several of the biggest plays in league history, and he made them for the Pats.
  • Seymour and Mankins are tough cases. They didn't exactly leave voluntarily or shoot their way out of town. (Indeed, Seymour was bitter about getting traded.) I say they wind up in, especially Seymour.
  • Gronk has already done enough to get in.
  • McCourty hasn't, but he's on track.
  • I'm negative on Matt Light these days for political reasons, but he's the obvious absence from this discussion so far, and likely to be (deservedly) inducted.
Political reasons??? JEEZ!!!!!

I would like to see Vrabel and Matt Light. Both were part of the Patriot Way. Light seems like a classy guy too and has done great charity work.

+1 on Light and Vrabes....

I think if you have won 3 SBs and also was voted to a ProBowl/All-Pro team then that is an automatic.

Rodney needs to be in as he was 2X SB and All-Pro 2X. Plus he was here for 6 years or so

Guys like Ted Johnson, Bobby Hamilton, Andruzzi were solid but not sure they are Pats HoF -caliber.

Deion should make it eventually, his stay was a bit short but, Super Bowl MVP? C'mon now.

Adam is one of the biggest locks after Brady and BB. He'll be a Pro Football Fall of Famer too.

I know, right?! I mean, it is possible to separate the player from his personal politics.

You know, back in the day, people with opposing political opinions used to be friends. Not all the time but it happened a lot more often because both sides weren't demonizing the other.

Patrick Chung (if he plays long enough he has been great since returning and played all but 1 year of his career here.. if he plays like he has been for 3-4 more years i think he does and i doubt he leaves again)
Donte Hightower (if he plays his whole career here which i think he will)
Devin McCourty (just needs to keep it up)
Malcolm Butler (if he plays his whole career here and i think he will)

Agree on Hightower, McCourty, and maybe, MAYBE Butler, but I'm not sure there will be room for Chung. He was a binkie of mine in 2009, but...there are so many good players in front of him.

Rob Ninkovich (did he have enough impact though? He was huge for 3-4 years but is that enough?)

I like Ninko too, but if he gets in, should Vrabel get in?

Welker (zero rings and that makes it hard to put him in considering he could have if not for 1 drop).

That drop and his bolting for Denver really hurt his chances in a lot of people's eyes. I get it. But he was a hell of a player here, and he played the majority of his meaningful career games here.

Unless he's a Nazi or something, I don't see why politics need to be involved...I mean, come on.

Holy ****! Had no idea Clayborn wasn't already in pats hof. Makes no sense.

He's the one I was thinking of in my first post. Very surprised he's not in.

He's openly pro-fascist-lite. (No pun on his name at all intended.)

I can leave it out of a football judgment, but it's hard to leave it entirely unnoted.

The real fascists were on the left. Just sayin'.

That is not consistent with history (or else you're being inconsistent with the dictionary, but the dictionary definition itself is based on history, since we know of the word's invention about a century ago).

Steve Grogan MUST be in the Pats HoF. I know his numbers suck but I couldnt care less. Most QBs back in the 70s had crappy numbers and won and Grogs won. He had a winning record here and was a lifer.

I think its a travesty he is not in.

EDIT: Grogan is in. I can calm down now.

Save some of that angst for Raymond Clayborn

Adam is one of the biggest locks after Brady and BB. He'll be a Pro Football Fall of Famer too.

He belongs in the Indy HOF, not ours.

I could care less about their politics, Light protected Brady at an elite level for twelve years and definitely deserves a o be in the Patriots HOF.

He belongs in the Indy HOF, not ours.

Vinatieri deserves the Patriots HOF, he had two SB game winning kicks for them as well as the greatest kick in NFL history.

Football is obviously a harsh business and both teams and players have to make tough decisions. The Patriots are a frugal team and it has worked well for them but it puts players in the difficult position of having to walk away from millions to stay in NE and not every player is going to do that. I don't blame McGinest, Vinatieri, Vereen and other players for doing what's best for them and their families and it shouldn't exclude them from the Patriots Hall if they choose to go elsewhere, what matters is what they did for the patriots when they were here.

I don't hold it against AV because he left but he's also not a normal case. By the time this season is over he will have played more games with Indy and helped them win a SB also.

I agree that his kick in the Snow Bowl game was the greatest ever, and that he and that kick will be in the NYFL HOF, but I don't think he belongs in ours.

Is Nick Buoniconti in the Pats HOF? If he is he shouldn't be either. He belongs in Miami.

Considering it is 1 every year.

Brady
Gronk
BB
Robert Kraft
Seymour
Harrison

They are all locks.

Guys i think will get in but are based on my projections.

Patrick Chung (if he plays long enough he has been great since returning and played all but 1 year of his career here.. if he plays like he has been for 3-4 more years i think he does and i doubt he leaves again)

Maybe

Gostkowski was a for sure but he needs to just get out of think funk.
Rob Ninkovich (did he have enough impact though? He was huge for 3-4 years but is that enough?)
Welker (zero rings and that makes it hard to put him in considering he could have if not for 1 drop).

Won't

I think Collins probably leaves sadly so not him

You have Pat Chung over welker?

His most significant contributions came with NE. Does Rodney Harrison belong in the Patriots HOF? Imo yes, despite the fact that most his career was in SD.

3X Pro Bowler, franchise leader in INTs. 179 games...

Only reason he is not in is because he pissed someone off.

Only reason he isn't in is because he was up against Faulk this year and Faulk won the fans over by taunting the NYJNFL.
