Well judging by the fact that Cannon is still on the team at a $4.7m Bill doesn't think he is. Maybe they are working on a restructure but the only thing with that is a restructure means an extension which again if Bill thought he was terrible he wouldn't keep him

Why cut him now? They will see how the draft goes, if there is an OT they will get him and cut Cannon. Right now they NEED at least 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 LB.

I liked this a lot... If the price is right they can cut freeny and save almost 1.5m because they will need more cap to sign weddle AND HICKS and extend butler collins and ryan, they could use only 2 picks on def (LB).

I'd take him in a second. Imagine the Big Nickel package this team could roll out. Weddle + McCourty would instantly be the best safety tandem in the NFL.

The problem is there is no "revival needed," Weddle is still a borderline top 5 safety in this league. I don't see him taking less than $7-$8 million. That would be a lot of cap space to spend on a luxury signing.
