I don’t think it’s weak but it certainly isn’t dominant either. You can rebuild everything in one offseason so I look at this as the first moves in a 3-4 year process. Belichick will push them hard this season, see who cut it and who didn’t, make more cap moves, and replenish with the best talent available. DL and WR will very likely be top priorities next offseason.
 
Yeah, not sure about the trenches theory. The DL isn’t particularly strong. OL seems pretty good.

It’s a lot easier to build a complete team in BB’s style when you have a (hopefully) serviceable QB who’s making a 4th round rookie salary.
 
If Billy had drafted Leki Fotu at the end of the 3rd round instead of one (or Any, really) of the 3 he did, then this theory would have actual credibility...but he didn't, so...And please, don't even mention Fat Thor...

I’m more mature now. But in previous years I would have used this as a chance to compare the weakness to Cromartie’s pullout game. Luckily, I’m above that now.
