I know there have been threads about football coverage..from the hated and loud mouthed to the better writers, but I think i's sad when the story in the Herald about the two UDFAs being cut is an AP story and NOT part of any writer's notebook or column. It's just simply a sad state of affairs of where football is looked at. And I think it's in this case MORE the editers than the writers who are at fault...and they hardly ever take any shots at all. When there are fewer football stories and poor ones, it's usually the writers that everone looks at, but the editers are the ones who decide about where the focus is. Reiss and Curran do great jobs, but for a large city, in general, the writing and the coverage is horrible.
