According to a report tonight on Fox Sports Radio, Doug Flutie is in Florida talking to the Dolphins. No details on whether they're interested in him as a backup or possibly pumping him for info on the Pats offense, but interesting news nonetheless.

Heh T-shirt, think anybody will attack me for wondering about squeaky voices?

If Cassel could be the #2 next year a late round QB would be a good way to use one of our later picks. Hating to jump on the Fresno State bandwagon, I like Paul Pinegar as a 6th-7th round guy.

Flutie and the fins

Hate to say that I won't mind if Flutie goes, but I won't. With all the departures this offseason of impact players, Flutie's departure is less than heartbreaking right now. He ceased being an impact player more than a few years ago. I do think that we need to address the #2 quarterback at some point in time. I know, we have alot more pressing issues right now, but I agree about drafting a QB late. Wouldn't hurt to use a draft pick here. The last 6th round QB we picked up in the draft did ok..

Thats why I love Fox always the best news....goodbye little qb who could!

BB must have told him this is it, and little Douggie can't bring himself to retire....what is he 45 now???

Saban is looking for a cheap backup and..getting info from the Patriots inside is a way to do it..I know he wanted younger Harrrington..but too much in a draft pick and money to him..so??? Maybe he likes drop kicks?? I am not surprised...they do need a backup, but at this point..not a large worry. I agree a young QB may be OK..they already have Mortenson who is in the NFLE...so??

Does this mean that the Patriots already told him they are moving on without him.

Who knows? But he is a free agent.

Dolphins | Flutie seen in the Miami area; but was it Dolphins' related?

Harvey Fialkov, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports WAXY 790 radio reported free agent QB Doug Flutie was sighted at the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida Friday night, March 31, sparking rumors of a Miami Dolphins connection. Dolphins' spokesman Harvey Greene said he was unaware of any official team visit with Flutie. Flutie's agent also wasn't available for a comment.

LOL

Of course the last time Doug visited a team as a FA he was after he took his secret physical for his deal here last season.

I don't know if BB will bring him back - but he will bring someone like him in. He prefers to have a veteran (in BB speak 8-10 years actual experience) QB on the roster. Cassel is the developmental player. Mortenson is the camp fodder to save Brady's arm in TC player. He could be supplanted by another 6th or 7th rounder if BB sees one left who intrigues. But there will be a vet or journeyman backup on the roster. And the likely choice is the one who knows the playbook and the system and his place.

They may want him as a drop kicker.

My GOD!--Flutie a Phin?

I sure hope Flutie is just there taking in some of that Miami Sun!!!!

Flutie and Culpepper??? WTF is wrong with this picture....LoL He needs to Drop kick them in the Arce and LEAVE Asap!!! --Not another one going stray, my god....WTF else is going to happen????LOL

Actually, although very intelligent, Dolphins don't actually talk.

There's no quote here, but I just wanted to use your name.

It is rare that humans can interact with these beautiful animals, but Fungi has swam and jumped and played with us. He has remained wild and free, existing in his own area at the mouth of Dingle Harbour, playing in the bow waves of boats and launching himself out of the water to startle and excite the crowds. He has warmed the hearts of the thousands of people that have travelled from near and far to see and swim with him. :rocker:

If he goes there, maybe Saban will have him do a drop kick against us to get even
