Five Reasons To Watch The Patriots Pre-Season Game Against The Lions
By: Russ Goldman

The Patriots will be back in action Saturday night against the Lions. Read my 5 reasons to watch this pre-season game. ...

I esp. agree w/ #3.
The Loins remember last Thanksgiving, and will be treating this game as an opportunity
to gain a measure of revenge by taking out Brady. Our OL, esp. Koppen/Connelly/Mankins,
should be prepared to see everything thrown at them but the proverbial kitchen sink.
At the first sign of OL break-down, I would have Brady pulled ASAP.

Other reasons:

- Can Mark Anderson & Eric Moore help themselves secure a spot on the 53?

- Who show themselves worthy of joining the DL rotation?

- Butler, or Wilhite (or both, or neither)?

- Yeatman v. Lee Smith

- Are any of the UDFA OLmen worth keeping around after tonight (or next week)?

Mmmmmmm, I'm not sure that they'll be looking to take a "measure of revenge" by taking out Brady. These guys are pro's too. Don't get me wrong, they'll be trying to get after the passer, but you make it sounds like they'll be head-hunting for Brady.... Not so.

This is they're preseason too. They will have some things to work out and will be looking to do some things as well.

I am excited to see how our Oline does against their pressure though. It's a GOOD test.

Suh tried to pile-drive Andy Dalton into Australia. He'll have no qualms whatsoever trying
to do the same - or worse - to Brady, who laid 45 on them in front of a national TV audience.
