Heard it too. Nice.

Christian, good on ye... spiked the heck out of the show today. :)

Isn't diabetes something most people are already aware of

Not Type 1. Which is what his son was diagnosed with this past spring..

He lost 30 pounds due to knee surgery.. That's not unheard of depending on the type of knee surgery. I lost 25 pounds after blowing out my knee due to muscle atrophy in my thigh and calf.

I lost 200 pounds of screaming fat due to .357 implantation...never remarried:eek:

Christian Fauria will broadcast live for 25 hours straight from 2:00 p.m. today to 3:00 p.m. on November 14 in an effort to raise $25,000 for diabetes awareness. Nice to see the Boston sports media engaging in something worthwhile.

Son's surprise diagnosis inspired Fauria's marathon broadcast

I've already made a donation and bid on a couple of auction items. You can take a look at them here:

If you are writing something positive, why give it a negative title.

Great thing for Fauria to put a spotlight on.

He might get more donations if he stayed off the air.

:p

I don't get why some folks here think he's so bad. He can be goofy at times but he knows football and is not a total idiot.

I find him annoying as hell. Tries way too hard to be funny .

Both my daughters had a teammate (basketball, soccer) with type 1 diabetes, so I was already aware of it and the effect it has not only on the child but the parents. I applaud Fauria.

(Though I must say, I remember Fauria saying one thing years ago which was intelligent and incisive. But it was years ago and just one thing, nothing like that since.)
