Fan Annoys Brady For Handshake in NY

What is wrong with Giselle? She acts like she will melt if she is caught on film. By acting like that she just encourages the scumbag paparazzi to harass her even more. She should be more like Brady, just act normal, ignore them and continue on with whatever she is doing. Its odd that an athlete is better at dealing with paparazzi than a supermodel.

Tom needs to find a regular gal who isn't so high strung.

I'm in silly territory defending an industry I don't really care about, but if I were to hazard a guess I'd say that A) she doesn't want douches like TMZ to make money from her "image or likeness" and/or B) the craparazzi gets its rocks off taking 500 pictures of a good looking person and then publishes the least photogenic one, for shock value (Missy the fat midwestern housewife at the supermarket glances at the cover of OK magazine and gasp "Oh my jeewiz gosh darnit! I can't believe Jennifer Love Hewitt looks like that without makeup! She looks normal, my self esteem just soared for no good reason")

Personally, I think she has the hair to cover her face and not indulge a scummy industry.

Sorry if this was posted today guys, but there are so many threads here sometimes it's hard to keep track.

Summary : A fan walking his dogs runs into Brady on the street, yaps about naming his dog for him, and bothers Tom for a handshake, which you could see he clearly wasn't thrilled on. Then Tom's driver apologizes, and he says 'story of my life'.

I must come clean here & now. I HATE celebrity gossip. I've never read or purchased a celebrity magazine or newspaper of any kind. I don't pick them up to read them while waiting in line at the store or search online for this stuff. It made me feel dirty & uncomfortable watching that video and makes me want to punch out the paparazzi who's following him around.

If anyone out there is young & has dreams of becoming a part of the paparazzi, please don't lower yourself. What is in the minds of those who make a living haunting people where ever they go? I guess the people to blame are those who do buy the trash they publish.

IMO...all this makes a sorry statement about our society.

I sat next to Bill Belichick at a Red Sox game in the table seats (literally, his table was right next to mine). There was pretty stringent security around him... two guys came down and thanked him and he smiled and shook their hands. But I didn't say anything to him, except dart quick glances and text everyone I knew "holy **** I'm sitting next to Bill Belichick." No need to disturb the guy.

That's my account of my brush with greatness.

I agree with you, it sickens me how much media attention is paid to losers like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Who gives a shyt?

Apparently a lot of idiots do because that crap sells. I just don't get it. If my life ever becomes so pathetic that I care more about some coked up celebrity whore than my own life then please shoot me.

I remember going to a family dinner party a few weeks ago, and I swear, they wanted like 20 different photos taken and after a while it's like, these flashes are starting to drive me crazy... enough already!

My wife and I also met and had a converstaion with Rodney and his wife on the same night. He's a down to earth dude. Surprisingly, he is not very big up close and personal. I was actually a little more jacked than him. It felt pretty damn awesome. :rocker: I got a cool picture of him flashing his SB bling.

Before the celebrities were celebrities, they actively sought the fame and fortune. Why should anyone feel sympathy for them now that they've gotten what they asked for?

I think the difference is Merriman is a nobody compared to Brady. The TMZ folks wouldn't even recognize him, so he doesn't get that crap all day every day.

My only brush of "meeting the famous" was when I was in Miami eating at a Sushi Bar that was for us, the regular Joe Blows,(not a place I would consider for the rich and famous) and OJ Simpson was there eating with who I assume is/was a girlfriend.. We ended up finishing up at the same time and leaving the same time... He was polite and initated conversation, held the door open for us and bid us a good night... He was respectful, my crew was respectful, and I bid him a good night, Mr. Simpson just so he know I knew who he was...
