Falcons commemorate history

I was surprised that far-western Carolina is still mostly Falcons territory.

I almost posted my speculation of states that the Falcons had as a fan base at one point... just by proxy.

Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina (western more so) of course Georgia as well...

The Panthers and the titans have had some good runs throughout the last 20 plus years... but much like the Falcons can't deliver in the big game.

If the Falcons could have ever done anything but lost when it counts they would have a massive fan base...

Watched the rerun of that game the other night on NFLN. It was amazing how many times that game should have been over. From mid-way through the 3rd quarter, all Atlanta had to do was get one more FG the rest of the way and it's out of reach. At the end of the 3rd we tried an onside kick and the Falcons took over on our side of midfield. All they needed was 8 yards to get in FG range. We stopped them cold and forced a punt. Then they had 2 more possessions in the 4th quarter on our side of the 50, including one where they got to our 23, and we turned them back. Trey Flowers was in on every big play.

I've rewatched the game multiple times and still get nervous that the Patriots aren't going to win. They were still punting and kicking and crap WAY too late and WAY too far behind. amazing

Atlanta should probably retire the numbers 28 and 3 because this happens way too much.
