Expect to Pay $20M-$30M For a Top WR

I cannot see giving Tee Higgins a massive contract as some fans suggest...shades of the Donald Hayes experiment

Holland won’t get 30, he’s a safety. I think $22 would make him the highest paid safety in the NFL.
He’s also not playing well this season. It’s been a rough season for a lot of supposed star safeties.

Where's the thread for what we can expect to pay a blocking TE?
Kittle for a bologna sandwich, lifetime membership to orchids and 12 a year? Sorry no thread.

Holland would elevate our secondary immediately.

I think with this coaching group we need to not bring in any of the common reclamation projects like we have in the past. I don’t think they’re up for it and would be a waste. See Chuks. A known commodity that could have some slight off field issues? Sure. Not AB level though.

I hadn’t heard that. And my older brother is a Dolphins fan, and he loves him. But he’s been pretty down on them this year, so I don’t know how much he watched them.

When Wolf said that they were getting rid of the old scouting documents and rewrite criteria. They must have thrown out the new ones and kept the old ones. lol
Someone here said the other day and it’s true…FWIW Wolf didn’t have time to implement his drafting algorithms in 2024. Good or bad 2025 will be the 1st year he’s using it.

Why not dispatch a scout to comb the college ranks for a fast basketball player who can catch a football. Might find a really good receiver or even the next Randy Moss.

Can't overthink it, Tee Higgins in most advanced metrics is about the 15th best receiver in the NFL. Except for 2023 with the injuries, he has been top 5 in separation in every season. Separation is probably the #1 attribute you want in a WR. I get the nagging hamstring is a question mark but a top 20 WR at age 26? Got to do it!

Donald Hayes had terrible advanced metrics. No comparison.

Free Agents that are this good at their position rarely come up for free agency before they are 29-30. You have the cap space; you can afford to blow him away without hurting ability to sign anyone else you want.

Aggressively going after Higgins is a no brainer. He'll catch 100 balls from Drake Maye. The debate over him not being a real #1 is missing the point, by people's definition there are only 10 #1 receivers and 32 teams.

Jefferson, Hill, Chase. Lamb. AJ Brown, Nakua, St. Brown, Collins, Nabers, Evans
Higgins is in the next group with DJ Moore, Evans, Samuel, Devonta Smith, Wilson, Waddle etc.

Well worth the market price. Adding him makes the draft and rest of free agency much easier.
